如何寫好推薦信?
您是否不知道如何寫好一篇推薦信,即recommendation letter,告訴您一個(gè)簡(jiǎn)單的撰寫程序。
第1步
高中開始時(shí)就要努力學(xué)習(xí),這樣你就會(huì)有好的成績(jī),而你的老師對(duì)你才會(huì)有好的印象。
第2步
課上多問老師問題,無論是課間或課后,這樣老師們才會(huì)對(duì)你個(gè)人有所了解。這些問題同時(shí)也能幫助你更好地理解課程內(nèi)容并提高你的成績(jī)。
第3步
參加課外活動(dòng),如籃球,足球,辯論隊(duì),劇團(tuán),及高中樂隊(duì)等。這些中的多數(shù)都是同高中老師指導(dǎo)的,這也是更好地去了解你的老師的一個(gè)好辦法。同樣地,老師們也會(huì)看到你有創(chuàng)造力,富有激情的一面。
第4步
自愿幫助你的老師,高中校長(zhǎng),行政管理人員等。不管無報(bào)酬,自愿服務(wù)都是一個(gè)很好的機(jī)會(huì),并且能展現(xiàn)你是一個(gè)非常負(fù)責(zé),仔細(xì)周到并專業(yè)的人。

在大學(xué)申請(qǐng)的第一次截止日期前的3-6個(gè)月里,列出可能給你一封不錯(cuò)推薦信的老師名單。
和你關(guān)系不錯(cuò)或者在他的課上給了你很高成績(jī)的老師是理想的選擇。
你需要至少三封推薦信。

并不是所有的推薦信都要來自于教過你的老師。
比如,如果一個(gè)大學(xué)要求3封推薦信,你可以從你兼職工作的老板那里得到一封推薦信。
第7步
一些大學(xué)要求你提交私人推薦信,比如一個(gè)好朋友寫的推薦信。他們希望了解一個(gè)學(xué)生在私人生活里的行為,從而推斷你在學(xué)校里的表現(xiàn)。

確保在大學(xué)申請(qǐng)的第一次截止日期前的3-6個(gè)月里,向老師索要推薦信。

第10步
在向你老師要求推薦信并得到其確認(rèn)之后的幾天時(shí)間里,你需要發(fā)電子郵件通知他們接下來所要做的。首先,用以上的要求清單,寫一封單獨(dú)的電子郵件給每個(gè)你的推薦人,并且告知他們寫信時(shí)需要參照的詳細(xì)說明。你要指出是哪所大學(xué)需要該推薦信,并告知填寫各個(gè)大學(xué)推薦表格時(shí)所要遵循的步驟。

Dear Admissions Committee,
I am writing to express my full support for Xiao Xiao, who is applying to graduate school at [name of school]. Though I am currently a visiting scholar at the University of California, San Diego, I was Xiao's supervisor at the VVV University School of Architecture and Civil Engineering. In my [number] years in academia, Xiao stands out as one of the best students I've encountered.
As the professor in charge of VVV's student union, I spent several years supervising and working closely with Pan, who served as the union's chairperson and monitor. Pan's work included managing the routine affairs of his class of 76 students and planning many student activities. Consequently, through our close contact, I gained a thorough understanding of and respect for Pan's character, his strong organizational skills, and his leadership ability. For example, in fall 1997, Xiao organized an evening party for incoming freshmen. I still vividly remember the party's resounding success, as well as Pan's unswerving attention to details.
Dedication and passion are hallmarks of Pan's character. Although the work he did as a student leader was time-consuming and tiring, he never complained.
