二、重視良好的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣的培養(yǎng)
習(xí)慣的力量是一種巨大而持久的力量，許多重要的事情正是靠習(xí)慣的力量去完成的。聯(lián)合國教科文組織在“學(xué)會生存”一書中指出：在未來社會里，文盲將不是不識字的人，而是那些不懂得學(xué)習(xí)方法、不會自行更新知識的人，家長希望自己的子女在未來的社會中長大成才，不可不注意對他們進(jìn)行學(xué)習(xí)方法的指導(dǎo)，和學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣的養(yǎng)成。
(1)讓孩子多聽錄音
在少兒英語教學(xué)中，首先是加強(qiáng)聽力訓(xùn)練和說話訓(xùn)練，然后才是讀寫能力的培養(yǎng)。聽說能力差，用英語進(jìn)行交際的能力差，是以往英語教學(xué)中的問題所在，是現(xiàn)代兒童英語教學(xué)中要全力改進(jìn)的。為此，家長一定要配合學(xué)校來要求孩子，要創(chuàng)造條件讓孩子多聽，多聽純正的錄音，習(xí)慣聽原聲帶，注意聽正確的語音、語調(diào)和語氣，聽幾遍、聽清楚了以后，跟著說，這樣做，可以彌補(bǔ)一些因我們英語老師語音不夠純正的不足。多聽、多說可以讓孩子盡快達(dá)到“脫口而出”、“出口成句”，哪怕是一兩個詞代表的句子，因?yàn)榫渥邮钦Z言的最小單位。再有，如漢語中有“四聲”的特點(diǎn)一樣，英語中有長音、短音和雙元音等不同于漢語的發(fā)音要求，要注意學(xué)和正確發(fā)好，否則談不上學(xué)到地道的英語。
(2)讓孩子大聲說英語
家長要每天留出15分鐘左右時間讓孩子讀讀英語，不管當(dāng)天有無英語課。我們要鼓勵孩子大聲地朗讀、對話、問答，大聲說，不害羞，這樣有利于清楚地表達(dá)自己，也有利于他人糾正自己的錯誤，還有利于培養(yǎng)大膽、開朗、自信的良好個性。
(3)讓孩子熟練背誦課文和單詞背誦是一項(xiàng)基本功，可以積累一些日常用語，等到用的時候就可以脫口而出。但是在背誦過程中要講究方法，不可操之過急，要注意分散和集中相結(jié)合。我們一般一單元要花兩個星期時間來教，第一個星期重點(diǎn)背誦單詞，按教學(xué)進(jìn)度熟讀所教課文;第二個星期重點(diǎn)背誦課文，可以分段背誦，等快教完的時候，再把課文串起來背，這樣可以降低一點(diǎn)難度，讓學(xué)生背得輕松些。但是在檢查過程中，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)有一部分學(xué)生背得相當(dāng)熟練，可問他課文中的某個詞組或句子的意思時，他卻一問三不知。所以，我們在背誦過程中要注意上下文的理解，在理解的基礎(chǔ)上達(dá)到背誦的要求，課文中涉及到的相關(guān)詞組和句型，要讓學(xué)生熟記，并能用它們來造句、說話。
單詞亦是如此，分散記憶、根據(jù)讀音記憶單詞都是可取的方法。有時，我們回家作業(yè)布置抄寫單詞，其目的不在于抄，而在于提醒學(xué)生記憶這些單詞。一般，每次的單詞量為5個左右，方便學(xué)生記憶。但是在日常學(xué)習(xí)中，學(xué)生不重視這項(xiàng)作業(yè)，認(rèn)為只是抄抄而已，不做也沒什么關(guān)系，其實(shí)他連抄寫都不做，根本別說是去背了，結(jié)果幾次下來，他負(fù)債累累，應(yīng)付不過來，學(xué)習(xí)處于被動狀態(tài)，從而影響了以后的學(xué)習(xí)，出現(xiàn)退步現(xiàn)象。因此，請大家在家里督促孩子保質(zhì)保量地完成英語作業(yè)，該讀的讀、該說的說、該寫的寫、該記的`記，及時鞏固，養(yǎng)成良好的習(xí)慣。
三、創(chuàng)造良好的家庭環(huán)境
(1)良好的物質(zhì)條件
這一點(diǎn)是不難做到的。即：讓還孩子有自己的學(xué)習(xí)場所，沒有單獨(dú)房間的，要給他隔出一個“學(xué)習(xí)角”，放有書架、錄音機(jī)等用具。
(2)營造良好的學(xué)習(xí)氣氛
這比良好的物質(zhì)條件還要重要，直接影響孩子的情感智商的發(fā)展。主要包括這幾個方面：首先，營造融洽的家庭關(guān)系，讓孩子有安全感，能安心學(xué)習(xí)。其次，鼓勵孩子勤學(xué)好問，提倡大家互相學(xué)習(xí)。遇到不懂的、不會的問題，親子一道查字典、翻閱資料，這樣做，不僅會提高家長的威信，提高孩子學(xué)習(xí)的積極性，還會增加家庭中的許多樂趣。再次，父母親的良好榜樣。孩子一般還沒有明確的學(xué)習(xí)目的，這時，父母親對學(xué)習(xí)的態(tài)度，特別是行為，會極大地影響孩子。
