推薦信寫作技巧

　　學校評審委員除了注重申請人呈現(xiàn)的自己，也相當重視教授或主管的觀點：評估這位申請人的特質(zhì)，以及將來在學術和專業(yè)領域內(nèi)發(fā)展的潛力。

　　· 推薦信必須由具有公信力的人撰寫才有信服力。評估申請人是否具備未來發(fā)展必要的學術或?qū)�業(yè)資格。

　　· 推薦人必須誠實、真正了解申請人的學經(jīng)歷，且推薦信內(nèi)容一切需以「事實」為依據(jù)。 · 推薦信內(nèi)容應當與申請人所繳交其他信息中對于自己的描述「不相抵觸」，而且要「相互呼應」。

　　· 避免過度籠統(tǒng)和陳詞濫調(diào)。

　　· 好的推薦信應當由具備相當知名度、且與申請人熟識的人撰寫。申請人的長官、同事、或?qū)W校里的老師是最佳人選。相處時間夠久，寫的推薦信才有價值。

　　· 推薦人的學術領域或技術背景最好是與申請人申請科系相同。另外亦可委托與學校當局或?qū)W校評審委員關系密切的人撰寫。

　　· 好的推薦信應當可以解答學校評審委員在審查申請書時會發(fā)現(xiàn)的一些問題。

　　· 推薦信的重點應該放在學校評審委員最認為最重要的消息。如果你申請的科系以專業(yè)知識或?qū)嵱眯詾橹�，主管或公司同事是比老師更好的推薦人人選。相反的，如果你申請念 Ph.D. 或以學術為主的科系，教授對于您學術資格的評估則較具可信力。

　　· 推薦人評估申請人的基準應當在推薦信中詳細寫出。例如，推薦人過去五年內(nèi)任教的大學中，申請人在教過學生當中確切的排名；或是申請人的業(yè)績占公司前一年總營業(yè)額的百分比。

　　推薦信的結構：

　　第一段：

　　· 推薦人與申請人的關系。

　　· 推薦人是在什么環(huán)境下認識申請人，以及相識多久。

　　· 申請人希望申請的哪一個學期和科系。

　　第二段：

　　· 推薦人對申請人資格評估。

　　· 推薦人初識申請人時，對他有何特別的印象。

　　· 舉例證實推薦人對于申請人的評估結果。

　　第三段：

　　· 對于申請人個人特質(zhì)的評估。如：溝通能力、成熟度、抱負、領導能力、團隊工作能力，以及正直等），或是有哪些需要改進的地方。

　　結論：

　　· 推薦人對于申請人的整體評估。

　　· 評估申請人完成學業(yè)以后，未來在個人和專業(yè)上的發(fā)展。

　　· 申請人會為這個科系及團體帶來什么貢獻。

　　如何得到能提高錄取機會的推薦信：

　　· 花一些功夫閱讀和研究，你想申請的每所學校對于推薦信的要求。

　　· 要充分了解自己及打算申請的科系。

　　· 擬出工作項目及時間表。

　　· 找出 3 到 5 為可能的推薦人。與你熟識、容易聯(lián)絡，而且肯定你資歷的人是較佳人選。

　　你必須事先和每一位推薦人溝通自己希望出國留學的理由、人生計劃，以及對推薦信內(nèi)容的要求和期望。

　　· 最后再根據(jù)各人的時間安排、配合意愿，以及對你個人資歷的肯定度來決定由誰寫推薦信。

　　· 提供每位推薦人一份履歷表、自傳、成績單、專業(yè)證件及相關個人信息，并且詳細列出撰寫

　　· 推薦信撰寫的注意事項，如申請書繳交期限、特別注意事項、以及學校提出的問題。 · 與各推薦人保持聯(lián)系，提供必要的信息和看法，并且確認每封推薦信皆能如期完成。 · 最后記得向每位推薦人致謝，感謝他們付出心力為你撰寫推薦信。
