        Dear I, Where Are You?

Everything about my future was ambiguously assumed。 I would get into debt by going to college, then I would be forced to get a job to pay off that debt, while still getting into more and more debt by buying a house and a car。 It seemed like a never-ending cycle that had no place for the possibility of a dream。

I want more—but not necessarily in the material sense of personal wealth and success。 I want more out of life。 I want a passion, a conceptual dream that wouldn’t let me sleep out of pure excitement。 I want to spring out of bed in the morning, rain or shine, and have that zest for life that seemed so intrinsic in early childhood。

We all have a dream。 It might be explicitly defined or just a vague idea, but most of us are so stuck in the muck of insecurity and self-doubt that we just dismiss it as unrealistic or too difficult to pursue。

We bee so fortable with the life that has been planned out for us by our parents, teachers, traditions, and societal norms that we feel that it’s stupid and unsafe to risk losing it for the small hope of achieving something that is more fulfilling。

“The policy of being too cautious is the greatest risk of all。” ~Jawaharlal Nehru

Taking a risk is still a risk。 We can, and will, fail。 Possibly many, many, many times。 But that is what makes it exciting for me。 That uncertainty can be viewed negatively, or it can empower us。

Failing is what makes us grow, it makes us stronger and more resilient to the aspects of life we have no control over。 The fear of failure, although, is what makes us stagnant and sad。 So even though I couldn’t see the future as clearly as before, I took the plunge in hopes that in the depths of fear and failure, I would e out feeling more alive than ever before。

If you feel lost, just take a deep breath and realize that being lost can be turning point of finding out who you truly are, and what you truly want to do。

The stage of college will be the most important period of our life. We needto learn knowledge, at the same time, we also need to learn some skills, whichwill be of great help when we come to the job market. The ability we gain in thecollege will be useful all the time.

In college education, we need to change our way of learning. In highschool, we get use to learn what the teachers pass to us. Every thing they showus is correct. Teachers take the leader roles and students just follow them. Butnow students need to learn knowledge by themselves. As teachers will not show upmuch time, so they should improve their ability to learn.

What’s more, as teachers are no longer the center role, they try tocultivate students’ way of thinking. Critical thinking is what the collegestudents most need. They are adults and should make their own decision. It istime for them to get rid of the out-date tradition, and creativity is what theyneed.

The aim of college education is to broaden vision and master specialskills.

Whether there’s afterlife, the answer has never been the same。 The atheists deny after life, believing that our life is no more than from the cradle to the grave。 They may care about their illustrious names after death; they may feel attached to the affection of their offspring, but they never lay their hopes on their afterlife。 They may also say that good will be rewarded with good, and evil with evil, but they don’t really believe any retribution in their after life。

However, in the religious world or among the superstitious people, the belief in afterlife is very popular。 They do not only believe in afterlife, but thousands of reincarnations as well。 In the mysterious world, there are the paradise and the hell, the celestial beings and the gods, the Buddha and the Bodhisattvas。

Maybe they really believed it, or maybe they just wanted to make use of people’s veneration, the ancient emperors always declared that they were the real dragons, the sons of God, while the royal ministers claimed to be the reincarnations of various constellations。 But can the stars reincarnate?

Many people burn incense and kowtow, do good deeds and strive for virtues, not just for the present, but mainly to let God see their sincerity so as to be reborn into a better afterlife, or to achieve the highest enlightenment after several lives of practice。 They do believe in afterlife。 But I can’t help asking: Suppose there were no afterlife, would you still do good deeds and strive for virtues? And If God does not see what you are doing, would you still be so upright and selfless? If you work, not for serving the public and liberating the others, but just for a better afterlife of your own, isn’t it a little too selfish? Comparing with this kind of believers, those who don’t believe in afterlife, but still keep doing good deeds, are the most sincere and honest philanthropists, because they do them not for themselves but for other。

You may wonder if I believe in afterlife。 My answer is: I know nothing about my previous life, so I dare not make improper comments on afterlife。 But I do hope there’s afterlife! Because our present life is so short that so many things slip away before our proper understanding。 I have so many dreams, so many wishes, so many ambitions, as well as so many regrets and concerns。 If there were no afterlife, all of them will remain unrealized!

been mine but have been washed away by the hurrying time, and I yearn for the perfection and maturity if I could start all over again。 So believe it or not, I’d rather there were afterlife。

        Ladies and Gentlemen, Good morning!

        Can Money Buy Happiness?

        Can Money Buy Happiness?

Can money buy happiness?Different people have different opinions. Some think yes, while others hold the opposite.

It is true that with enough money one can buy all the things one wants, and live a life of comfort and security. However,it is equally true that lack of money causes great distress. It is a common view that "money is the root of all evil." The pursuit of money drives many people to cheat and steal. In some places there is nothing that cannot be bought with money, resulting in corrupt societies where everybody is miserable.

So,money does not necessarily mean happiness. It all depends on how it is used.If we make honest and sensible use of money,it can be a stepping-stone to happiness l Although money cannot buy happiness,it can make happiness possible if it is employed sensibly.

        Thank you!

      Dear:

One day, if someone gets up on the right side of the bed and calls me andsays:’ You are the greatest person on earth. You are doing a great job and Iwant you to know I am honored to call you a friend.” I know he is sincere. Howdoes it make me fell? Great. But the next day, he gets up on thewrong side side of the bed, picks up the phone and says:” You rascal, you cheat, you crook! You are biggest fraud in town.” How does it make me feel?Terrible.

So the first day when he says, “You are the greatest guy,” I feel great andthe next day when he says, “you rascal,” I feel terrible. Who is controlling mylife? Obviously, he is, Is that the way I want to through life? Not at all. Thatis being externally driven.

I want to be internally driven. When he calls me and says I am the greatestguy it is good to hear those words. But even if he doesn’t say those words, inmy own estimation, I am still a god human being. And the next day when he ripsme apart, he can’t really, because in my own estimation. I am stilla good human being. When people make statements like, “You make me angry, ” thefocus of control is external. But if I say I am angry or I choose to be angry, the focus of control is internal.

"By! I've finally passed the English level secondary examination!" When Iheard the exciting news, I could not help but cheer up! For I am a grade fourstudents, through the level of junior middle school second grade exam, is hownot easy! Recall several months of efforts and painstaking effort, can not helpbut shed tears of delight.

Remember a few months ago, my mother tenderly stroked my head, kindly said:"Vivian ah, this time everyone in preparation for the level of English leveltest. However, mother believe that as long as you work hard, you are now level 2is also no problem, if passed the level 2 and so on key middle school of time, you will be more than others a 'pass'. Do you have confidence?" Looked at hismom looking forward to the eyes of the eyes and trust, I gently nodded.

Since then, all of my spare time to actively preparing for the exam Englishlevel 2.

For the first time in public English test level 2 training courses, Iactively raise your hand to speak in class, the teacher praised me know really alot. Home can be a problem, I will betray oneself. Sixty way choice, thinkingalong while, finally finished only guessing. The next day to listen to theteacher announced the answer, 60 choice was wrong two way. A failure is not letme lose confidence, on the contrary, I saw the hard way, take my spirit. Fromthen on, every time I class carefully take down the content of the teacher. Ifthere are any don't understand the question, I asked my father when I came back, until we understand.

Every one of us, rich or poor, should at least have one or two good friends. My friends will listen to me when I want to speak, will wipe my eyes when I cry, will take care of me when I am sick, and my friends will go together with me side by side through this journey of life.

As students, we could share more time with our friends. The friendship in our young hearts is pure, fresh and simple. I often feel very lucky to have a lot of good friends. Especially when I had Justin as one of my best friends. Justin was my English teacher from the USA. I met him in 1996 when I was a student who could only speak very little English. Justin was a vivid young man with a bright smile on his face, and he always had his special way to make the class active and attractive. He taught us English by telling stories, playing games, singing songs, and even dancing.

I could still remember very clearly that one afternoon when we fin-ished our class, we went to some other classes to sing songs for them, just like what people do in the states on Christmas Eve. It was so interesting and unforgettable. Justin was an excellent teacher, because he taught us not only how to study English well, but also the way to find out the beauty of the world and the way to be angels to others' lives. I know there was friendship and pure love in our hearts. Facing this valuable emotion neither nationality nor age was important, the real importance lay in faith,under-standing, and care. Justin is the best friend I have ever had, and I know I will cherish those days of staying together with him as the best part of my memory.

Friendship is a kind of treasure in our lives. It is actually like a bottle of wine, the longer it is kept, the sweeter it will be. It is also like a cup of tea. When we are thirsty, it will be our best choice, but when we have enough time to enjoy ourselves, it is also the most fragrant drink.

However, in this fast-developing modern society, the reality is not that. More and more people forget to enjoy the beauty of life and -the beauty of friendship. They work hard in order to gain a higher position, in the society and to earn more money for their work. Of course, we don't deny that it is important to find a bet-ter place in our lives, but we wish more and more people could pay a little more attention to

themselves and their friends. All of us have to spare some time for personal lives. We have to find the chance to express our emotion and love. When staying with our friends, we can release ourselves completely. We can do whatever we want, we can laugh together, talk together, and even cry to-gether. I should say that being together with our best friends is the most wonderful moment of our lives.

As we know, we would feel lonely if we didn't even have a friend. But it doesn't mean we could depend on our friends all the time. There is a famous motto saying that “A friend is like a quilt with cotton wadding, but the real thing that keeps you warm is your own temperature.” It is really true. We have to work hard together with our friends, encourage each other and help each other. When we receive love and friendship, we should repay as much as we can.

Finally, let's pray together now that one day, all of us could find the person we want to find, and could enjoy a real beautiful friendship in our lives. Let's pray the flower of friendship be-tween our friends and us would always bloom brightly in our hearts.

having a view on these great men in the history of hunmanbeing, they all made full use of their youth time ,to do things that are useful to society,to the whole mankind, and as a cosquence ,they are remembered by later generations, admired by do something in the time of young, although you may not get achievements as these greatmen did ,though not for the whole word, just for youeself, for those around!

good morning everyone. my name is ***. today my topic is my college life. i wish i could share my happiness and annoyance i have experienced with you all.

tuo years ago i came into the city of qinhuangdao and started my college life in E&A college, the most memorable journey of my life. i was just a shy and little boy that time. all the things seemed fresh to me: new faces, military training, large library and physics lab etc. i breathed the air of college greedily, but to tell the truth, the air in Qinhuangdao is wonderful. it’s really hard to explain my feelings that time: curious? energetic? in one word, i was really happy that time.

and now i am going to be a junior in july. recalling to the two years, i think i have to talk about one thing-----learning. learn how to study independently, learn how to get along with others, learn to love, learn to… oh, there are too much things we have to learn.

comparing with senior high school, college is a rather different place. there aren’t so many people to watch you and guide you how to do something any more, neither are there so many students who share with you one dream. in college, you must think and study yourself, so you have to learn and practice to control yourself.

the relationship between boys and girls in college is always love. i fell in love too. that was the second year in college; i fell in love with a girl who is cute and beautiful. i was sweet then. but because i didn’t know how to deal with the relationship, my first love failed at last. bitterness filled my life from then on. i really appreciated that god brought another girl into my life. she is my classmate in senior high school. i like to call her “yatou”. in my difficult time, she was with me, relieving me. gradually i found i like to talk to her and being with her is really comfortable. i think i love her and this time i won’t let her go. another relationship in college is friendship. my roommates have lived two years with me. in these years, they forgive my faults, cry with me, laugh with me, play with me… they always stand with me and support me, i have learned a lot from them. i love them all and treasure the friendship with them.

that’s my college life. i cherish all i have experienced in college. i love you, my college!

        that’s all, thank you

What would you do if you failed? Many people may choose to give up. However, the surest way to success is to keep your direction and stick to your your way to success, you must keep your direction. It is just like a lamp, guiding you in darkness and helping you overcome obstacles on your way. Otherwise, you will easily get lost or hesitate to go means objectives. You can get nowhere without an objective in can try to write your objective on paper and make some plans to achieve it. In this way, you will know how to arrange your time and to spend your time properly. And you should also have a belief that you are sure to succeed as long as you keep your direction all the time.

        A broken mirror joined together

During the Southern and Northern Dynasties (420-589), there lived a beautiful, intelligent princess name Lechang in the State Chen. She and her husband Xu Deyan loved each other dearly. But before long their country was in danger of being invaded by the troops of the Sui Dynasty. Princess Lechang and Xu Deyan had a premonition that their county would be occupied by the invaders and they would have to leave the palace and go into exile. During the chaos they might lose touch with each other. They broke a bronze mirror, a symbol of the unity of husband and wife into two parts and each of them kept a half. They aGREed that each would take their half of the mirror to the fair during the Lantern Festival, which is on the 15th day of the first Lunar month, in the hope that would meet again. When they were united the two halves would join together. Soon their premonition came true. During the chaos of war, the princess lost touch with her husband was taken to a powerful minister Yang Su's house and was made his mistress.

At the Lantern Festival the next year, Xu Deyan took his half of the mirror to the fair. He hoped that he could meet his wife. It so happened that a servant was selling the other half of the bronze mirror. Xu Deyan recognized it immediately. He asked the servant about his wife. As he heard about her bitter experience, tears rolled down his cheeks. Xu Deyan wrote a poem on the half of the mirror kept by his wife: "You left me with your broken mirror Now the mirror is back but not you I can no longer see your reflection in the mirror Only the bright moon but not you" .

the servant brought back the inscribed half of the mirror to princess Lechang. For days, she could not help sobbing because she knew her husband was still alive and that he missed her but they could not meet forever.

the minister, Yang Su, found this out. He was also moved by their true love and realized it was impossible to get Lechang's love. So he sent for Xu Deyan and allowed the husband and wife to reunite.

From that story comes the idiom "A broken mirror joined together".

It is used to suggest the happy reunion of a separated couple.

It will be too late to mend總之一句,趕快表現(xiàn)出造物所給你的生命,在這個(gè)世界上舉起一點(diǎn)光明的火花來(lái),不然你的少年肢體要腐爛了,你的靈魂的頭腦就要呆笨了,你的熱情就要冷卻了,那時(shí)什么都遲了,什么也來(lái)不及了。

Every classmate, every friend! Have you heard of white dream ?Perhaps , you think hope is green, youth is red, and dream is only natural gold! But , I think medical workers'' dream is white.

You''re likely to say : white stands for blank, white symbolizes poverty. But, I will tell you white also signifies creation! White also is the embodiment of vast and pureness.

People usually speak highly of medical workers as angels in white. Because in their mind , medical workers are upright , kind, selfleand friendly.

Despite the rumour and social prejudice, Nantingger gave up her rich physical life, firmly, committing herself to nusing career. In this way, she destronmasted the glory of white dream.

Benqiuen strode over country boundaries, devoting himself to medical career without hestion.

Extremly beautiful scenery often exists in dangerous and high mountains.Extremly grand music is always dismal. Extremly noble life frequently lies in heroic sacrifice. In a sense, isn''t medical workers'' job great? If one can sacrifice his life for human, isn''t he or she happy? As it going: if there isn''t inveteracy, there isn''t prosperous leaves and sweet-smelling flowers, if there isn''t headstream and flowing water, thereisn''t rapids and waterf-all, if there isn''t medical workers'' hard work, there isn''t good and healthy life of people.

In a word, no matter what situation we might face, we must stick to the white dream.
